Sitanath Brahmachaudhury (1908-1982) is one of the most influential Assamese Romantic poets. He was born in Bhalukmari, Gowalpara. 

He started practising poetry from an early age. His poetic works are ‘Kamalkali’, ‘Abeg’, ‘Chakulo’ and ‘Fuleshwari Daimari’. He wrote a book in prose under the titled ‘Gaon Sangathan’. Love of nature, love of man and glorification of beauty are the main themes of his poetry. Sitanath Brahmachaudhury presided over the Tinisukiya and Diphu sessions of the Assam Sahitya Sabha. 0 0 0
