Dr Jayant Kumar Goswami-Brief Life Sketch
Dr Jayant Kumar Goswami is a renowned physician and author. He was born in 1958 in Shillong. He studied at the Medical College, Guwahati and became MBBS and M S (surgery). After this, he attained MCH (Pediatric Surgery) degree from All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi. Dr Jayant Kumar Goswami is currently working in Guwahati Medical College as the Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery.
Besides his busy life, he has been contributing stories, novels and essays to Assamese literature. He has written a number of short stories. His notable story books are: ‘Anubanshik’ (2010), ‘Pakhilamon’ (2011), ‘Mritu Upatakya’ (2013), Talbari’r Dinboor’ (2013), ‘Pratibimba’ (2014) and ‘Kayantara’ (2016). His essay books are: ‘Sishur Ashrupasar’, (2011) and ‘Vigyan Barnali’ (2011). His only published novel till now is ‘Mrigatrishna’ (2013). Dr Jayant Kumar Goswami is particularly interested in science fiction and he has been regularly contributing to most of the major magazines of Assam. 0 0 0
