Dharmeshwari Devi Baruwani (1892-1960) was an Assamese poet. Dharmeshwari Devi was born at Panchavati Ashram in Guwahati. Her Father’s name was Yagyaram Sarma and her mother’s name is Rambhapriya Devi. Her worldly life was very miserable. He studied literature at home and composed many poems. Her poetry books are: ‘Phular Sharai’, ‘Pranar Parash’, ‘Ashrudhar’ and ‘Jeevanatari’. Love is the theme of his poetry. The Assam Sahitya Sabha honoured him with the title ‘Kavyabharati’. 0 0 0
