Utpal Dutt-Brief Life Sketch
Utpal Dutt (1960-) is an Assamese writer, translator, documentary director and film critic. His most notable books are ‘Chalachitra’ and ‘Twenty-Four Frames’. In addition to these, he has edited a number of books on film and two of them are prescribed as reference books for the Degree classes of Tezpur University. Utpal Dutt has also earned a reputation as a documentary director. The documentaries he directed have been exhibited at several film festivals in India and abroad. Utpal Dutt has also been honoured with the state-level award for Best Documentary Director. The three documentaries directed by Utpal Dutt are: ‘By Lane-2’, ‘Through Trust and Fear’ and ‘Bargeet – A Classic Gem’. 0 0 0
