Hiteshwar Barbaruah-Brief Life Sketch
Hiteshwar Barbaruah (1876-1939) was a famous Assamese poet. He was born at Saru Charaibahi near Jorhat. He started his career as a teacher after getting his schooling in Jorhat. Later he started working in a tea garden. His books include ‘Dhopakali’, ‘Tirotar Atmadana’, ‘Atmadana’, ‘Dechdimona’, ‘Yudhvakhetrat Ahom Ramani’ and ‘Ahomar Din’. In 1924, Hiteshwar Barbaruah was elected the president of the History branch of the Assam Sahitya Sabha session held at Nagaon. 0 0 0
