Swami Vivekananda was an Indian writer, poet, philosopher, reformer and propagandist of Hinduism. His real name was Narendranath Dutta. He was born in 1863 A D. He was one of the chief disciples of Ramakrishna Paramahansa (a social reformer). In 1893, he spoke at the Chicago World Conference of Religions in the United States emphasizing the importance of Hinduism in the modern world. Swami Vivekananda died in 1902. 0 0 0
