Sridhar Kandoli-Brief Life Sketch
Sridhar Kandoli-Brief Life Sketch
Sridhar Kandoli is a great post-Sankari Assamese Vaishnavite poet. The influence of Vaishnavism is evident in his poetry. Sridhar Kandoli wrote two pieces of poetry called ‘Kankhowa’ and ‘Ghunucha Kirtan’. They are written in the style of a lullaby. In these poems, Hari Leela Mahatmya (the significance of the activities of Lord Vishnu) is described in simple and clear language. The book can be divided into two parts. In the first part, Krishna fell asleep in fear of Kankhowa (a satan/monster), and in the second part, the poet described sullen speeches of Krishna as he was urged to get up from sleep by his mother. 0 0 0
