Eleanore Farjeon was an English female poet, storyteller and playwright. She was born on 13 February 1881 in England. She had poor eyesight and suffered from ill health throughout her childhood. She wrote especially for children. The theme of child psychology plays a dominant role in her writings. Her language and style is very simple and fascinating. ‘A Nursery in the Nineties’ is her autobiography. In the autobiography, she describes her family and her childhood. Â
