Copernicus-Brief Life Sketch
Copernicus 1473-1543) was a Polis astronomer. After a lifetime of study, observation and calculations, Copernicus found that if the Sun is assumed to be the centre of the world, then it would be easier to calculate the motions of the planets accurately. He discovered that the planets are revolving around the sun in circular paths. Copernicus also observed that the moon orbits the earth. But his scientific conclusions were not accepted by the people of that time. 0 0 0
