Ahsan Habib | Brief Biography
Ahsan Habib is a Bengali author known for his contribution to Bengali literature. He was born on March 2, 1966, in Comilla, Bangladesh. Habib completed his undergraduate studies in Bangla literature from the University of Dhaka and later pursued a master’s degree in the same field from the same institution.
Habib’s literary journey began in the late 1980s when he started writing short stories for various literary magazines in Bangladesh. He made his debut as an author with his collection of short stories, “Ei Ghor Ei Songsar” in 1989, which received critical acclaim. This was followed by several other collections of short stories, including “Jibon Namer Rail Garita” (1991), “Nirjan Sahajya” (1995), and “Shreshtho Kobita” (1997).
In 2000, Habib published his first novel, “Shikar Chhara.” The novel was well-received by readers and critics alike and was recognized as one of the best novels of the year. This was followed by several other novels, including “Pother Sanket” (2002), “Dui Dikey Dui” (2004), “Shopner Rashtra” (2007), and “Shudhu Tumi” (2009).
Habib’s writing style is characterized by its simplicity, clarity, and emotional depth. He writes about the complexities of human relationships and the struggles of everyday life. His stories and novels often delve into the psychological and emotional landscape of his characters and explore the themes of love, loss, and the search for meaning and purpose.
In addition to his writing, Ahsan Habib has also been actively involved in various cultural and literary organizations. He has served as the general secretary of the Bangla Academy and has been a member of the executive committee of the Bangladesh Centre for Development Journalism and Communication. 0 0 0.
