Aposiopesis | Aposiopesis Meaning, Definition, Examples
Aposiopesis is a figure of speech in which a writer or speaker suddenly breaks off from what he is going to say and leaves the sentence incomplete or unwilling to continue. Examples:
- Oh thou–by what name shall I call thee?
- I will do such thing-
What they would be, I know not
But they shall be the terror of the earth!
- If meet him once I shall do-
The world would gaze at me and say-how this man could do such a thing. 0 0 0.
