Jennifer Egan | Brief Biography
Jennifer Egan is an American novelist, short story writer, and journalist. She was born in 1962 in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in San Francisco, California. He received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in creative writing from Boston University.
Egan’s writing style often incorporates elements of science fiction and postmodernism, and he has been recognized for his innovative use of narrative structure. He has published several novels, including “The Invisible Circus” (1995), “Look at Me” (2001), “The Keep” (2006), “A Visit from the Goon Squad” (2010), and “Manhattan Beach”. . (2017).
“A Visit from the Goon Squad” was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2011, and “Manhattan Beach” was a finalist for the National Book Award. Egan has also published several short stories, which have appeared in The New Yorker, Granta, Harper’s, and other literary magazines.
