Louis XVII Brief Biography

Louis XVII

Louis XVII was the son of King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette of France. He was born on March 27, 1785, and was the Dauphin of France at the time of the French Revolution. Despite being born into a life of privilege, Louis XVII lived a difficult and tragic life, being caught up in the political upheaval that was taking place in France at the time.

In 1792, at the height of the French Revolution, King Louis XVI was executed, and Louis XVII was declared King of France at the age of 7. However, his reign was short-lived as the newly formed revolutionary government placed him and his family in captivity. He was imprisoned in the Temple prison in Paris where he would remain for the next three years. During this time, he was subjected to harsh conditions and was separated from his family.

The circumstances of Louis XVII‘s death have been a matter of much debate and speculation. Some accounts suggest that he died of tuberculosis, while others claim that he was murdered by the revolutionaries. His death was officially recorded as tuberculosis, but the exact cause remains unclear to this day.

After his death, several imposters claimed to be Louis XVII and attempted to reclaim the throne, but their claims were dismissed. The true story of Louis XVII has been the subject of much historical research and analysis, and there are numerous sources that provide insight into his life and legacy. 0 0 0.
