Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah was the Emir of Kuwait from 1965 to 1977. He played a crucial role in the development of the country during his reign, overseeing numerous initiatives to modernize and transform Kuwait into a prosperous and thriving nation.

Born in Kuwait in 1916, Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah was the second son of the founder of modern Kuwait, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
