Susan Juby | Brief Biography

Susan Juby is a Canadian author best known for her works in young adult fiction. Born in British Columbia, Canada in 1971, Juby was raised in a small town and attended the University of Victoria, where she studied English and Creative Writing.

Juby’s writing career began with the publication of her first novel, “Nice Pair of Shoes,” in 1999. This was followed by several other young adult novels, including “The Truth Commission” (2006) and “Miss Smithers” (2007). In 2009, Juby published “Alice, I Think,” which was well received by both critics and audiences and was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award for Children’s Literature.

In addition to her work as a novelist, Juby is also a prolific essayist and has written articles on a wide range of subjects, including fashion, food, and popular culture. She has also worked as a radio host and producer and has contributed to a number of television shows and podcasts.
